Have you ever dined inside an alien spaceship, surrounded by life-sized horror dolls? This is just one of the several experiences you can have inside the Movie Restaurant, which aims to offer a multi-sensory experience to customers. It presents itself as a museum with a display of film statues, life-size replicas, Japanese robots and knights of the zodiac.
The different works rotate, which means that if you choose the same table each time, you will find a different work matching with your dinner. A specialty of the kitchen is the homemade egg pasta and the Cine-Pastry, which garnishes its desserts with figurines – which can be purchased separately from the dish. Arale accompanies the Pink Poo Tiramisu, Darth Vader watches over The Dark Side Tiramisu, Xeno accompanies the Pistachio Parasite Bavarois.
Each dessert in the menu is explained by specific characters, referring to a movie or a tv series. Craft beers accompanying the dishes are served in The Game of Thrones mugs. The restaurant organizes also tribute or quiz evenings.
A few metres away from the Movie Restaurant there is the shop, run by their partner Sisco78, where you can find comics, gadgets, action figures and statues. Both are open throughout the week, except on Monday, from 7.30 p.m. to midnight. On Saturdays and Sundays the restaurant is also open for lunch.
