On May 12th, 2022 the historic building of Villa Lauricella opened its doors to the project, coordinated by the union of the communication agency The Cover and the B.Zar Hotel & CO group, aimed at offering an open and green space within Rome. Borgo Pigneto presents itself as a bucolic oasis based on the concept of conviviality and relaxation.

The entrance is an imposing portico leading to the villa, characterised by lounges furnished differently from one another. The garden has been divided by the landscapers into a picnic area, a kiosk area and an urban-botanic garden. The picnic area, recognisable by its baskets and tarpaulins, offers a light menu of cheeses, cold meats, baked goods and fruit and vegetable compotes, accompanied by beers and low-alcohol drinks. The kiosk, made of steel and wood, is surrounded by small tables designed to offer a more comfortable solution than the picnic area.

Then there are the striking trabocchi, wooden constructions formerly used for fishing, used to provide the intimacy needed for a private event or group dinner. Inside the villa, which also has outdoor tables, we find the inn and its inviting culinary offerings. The menu, which changes with the seasons and which also offers the possibility of dividing dishes into smaller portions, so as to taste everything possible, includes: poached fried egg with truffle, ravioli with butter and sage, gnocchi with game ragout, accompanied by vegetables from the Borgo’s own garden. There are also tarts and fresh desserts.
Where Botanical cocktails are made.
The upper floor of the villa is dedicated to cocktails, which we could call botanicals since, thanks to refined extraction techniques from native spices, plants and fruits, they are totally homemade, as are the spirits. The ingredients for the botanical cocktails are placed inside showcases with plants and sprouts, which are also used for the creation of further dishes also based on the mixing of smells and scents. Borgo Pigneto hosts live music, artists, performers and cultural activities during aperitif hours, dinner or after dinner.
