During the last century, Via Celsa 6 has been one of the roman cultural stages. There stood the Teatro Centrale, where Ettore Petrolini and Aldo Fabrizi, two unforgettable icons of Rome, debuted. Later, on the same stage, followed the performances of Alberto Sordi and Renato Zero. During the post-war period the theatre became a family shelter, then first a cinema and after a venue for live concerts.
In the 1990s Laura Gallucci obtained permission to realise her architectural project: the theatre thus became the modern Central RistoTheatre. That’s right, a restaurant theatre! There is still the original structure of the theatre – foyer, bar, stalls, gallery – and its soul: just by opening its doors, the echo of the art permeate everything. In the RistoTheatre you can choose between aperitifs, brunches, dinners – and the venue’s real specialty – dinner shows, always enlivened by live music, DJs and shows, right up to evenings dedicated to Variety show, burlesque and cabaret.
The menu includes appetizers, first courses based on traditional Roman recipes, meat and vegan burgers, salads and desserts. As far as first courses are concerned, the restaurant produces fresh pasta in-house. Aperitifs, on the other hand, are accompanied by a large buffet. Elegant clothes are required, then the multi-sensory experience in this wonderful multi-functional space is all yours!
