Inside the Premiata Panineria al Pigneto, there is a secret door marked “Meat choices”. Nearby, a mysterious black intercom. If you pick up the receiver and press the button to its right, you will hear a voice answer. There are no passwords to get in, its ‘”secrecy”’ is an homage to speakeasies – which literally means talking under your breath – the clubs that secretly multiplied during the Prohibition years.

The itnerior décor of Spirito.
Every Wednesday night at Spirito’s, there will be Black Jack waiting for you: for every cocktail the croupier will give you a chip with which you can try to win another cocktail. Thursdays are dedicated to music with live concerts of Jazz, Swing, Blues, Country, Pop, Rock, Soul and RnB. Periodically, Spirito also organises bartender challenges: challenges to the last cocktail between participating bartenders. The venue can also be hired for private events. Spirito suggests several possibilities, depending on whether you want to book it for an aperitif, a dinner or an after-dinner event.

“Do you know who you are?”.
“Do you know who you are?” asks the colourful drink-list, which focuses on awareness of what you are drinking: you can choose intellectual, emotional, conscious or balanced cocktails. Or you can rely on cocktails named after Freud, the Great Gatsby or Walter Mitty. Or why not try a Spritz of happiness and be infected by its joy? For dry classics, Spirito offers a wide choice of rum, whisky, bitters and wines. The entire drink-list is accompanied by a drawing of a little man resembling Schiele’s creatures. Open every day from 7.30 p.m. to 3.30 a.m. Spirito awaits you in his hideaway in Pigneto, assuming you can find him!
